Rectangular/Square Grouping

When grouping your pictures in a rectangular or square shape, try to get the outer edges of the group to form a rectangle or square. You can use different sizes and formats of pictures, and the spacing between them can vary – but the gallery wall as a whole should be symmetrical.

Horizontal Margin

By having a horizontal margin between the upper layer of pictures and the lower layer, you create a sophisticated and stylish gallery wall. A horizontal margin means a horizontal space that is visible between two levels of pictures. The size and number of pictures don't matter here, as long as they stay above or below the space.

Vertical Margin

In a vertical margin, the space goes between the left layer of pictures to the right, going upward instead of sideways. Here too, it's fine to mix different formats and sizes.

Vertical and Horizontal Margin

Another option is to combine a vertical and a horizontal margin – this will create a pattern resembling a T or an H. Arrange the pictures according to this pattern, just as it looks in the picture below.
